Woman Killed After Being Struck By Two Vehicles On Nassau County Roadway

A woman was killed after being struck by two vehicles on a busy Long Island roadway.

It happened on Tuesday, March 3 at about 7:20 p.m. in Massapequa.

While attempting to cross the street in front of 6150 Sunrise Highway (Route 27), a female pedestrian, 59, was struck by a westbound 2003 Ford Crown Victoria operated by an 18-year-old male, according to Nassau County Police. 

The woman was then struck by a second vehicle traveling westbound, a 2016 Kia SUV operated by a 73-year-old man, said police. 

As a result of the collision, the woman suffered multiple trauma injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The victim’s identity has not been released at this time as the investigation into this accident continues.

Both drivers remained at the scene.
